Growth in the East Asia and the Pacific (EAP) region is projected to drop to 4.5 per cent this year from an estimated 5 per cent in 2024, the World Bank said.
China’s growth may slow to 4.5 per cent and in EAP excluding China, growth may slow to 4.2 per cent in 2025.
In 2026 and 2027, EAP growth may remain subdued at 4 per cent.
Risks to the region’s outlook remain tilted to the downside.
