Legislation was introduced in the UK parliament today to upgrade workers’ rights, tackle poor working conditions and benefit businesses and workers alike.
The Employment Rights Bill will end exploitative zero-hour contracts and unscrupulous fire and rehire practices, while ensuring rights to bereavement and parental leave from day one.
Reforms were announced to boost pay and productivity.
