In September 2025, EU annual inflation rose to 2.6 per cent (up from 2.4 per cent in August), while euro area inflation reached 2.2 per cent (up from 2.0 per cent).
The highest rates were in Romania (8.6 per cent) and the lowest in Cyprus (0.0 per cent).
Services contributed most to euro area inflation (+1.49 pp), followed by food, alcohol & tobacco (+0.58 pp), Eurostat reported.
