In July 2024, retail trade volume in the euro area rose by 0.1 per cent, and by 0.2 per cent in the EU, compared to June 2024, following a decline of 0.4 per cent in both regions.
Year-on-year, the euro area saw a slight 0.1 per cent decrease, while the EU grew by 0.4 per cent.
Sales of food, drinks, and tobacco increased, while automotive fuel sales fell.
