A recent EU screening of 356 online second-hand goods traders found 52 per cent in potential breach of consumer laws.
Issues included unclear withdrawal rights (40 per cent), failure to inform on faulty goods returns (45 per cent), and non-compliance with the one-year guarantee (57 per cent).
Authorities flagged 185 traders for further investigation to ensure legal compliance.
