The euro area recorded a €22.3 billion (~$24.7 billion) trade surplus in June 2024, up from €18 billion in June 2023, despite a 6.3 per cent drop in exports and an 8.6 per cent decrease in imports.
H1 2024 saw a surplus of €107.5 billion, a sharp turnaround from a €3 billion deficit in the same period in 2023.
Intra-euro area trade fell by 5.9 per cent.
