While we’re always covering the style influence of major celebrities and their everyday outfits, there’s always a select few looks that seem to take the entire internet by storm. And slowly (or sometimes, rapidly), those looks begin to impact our shopping habits and preferences, whether we realize it or not. Even if you may not be typing “Kendall Jenner outfits” into your search bar, the brands you shop from and the people you follow might just be.
We’re already more than halfway through 2023 so ahead, I’ve rounded up the celebrity outfits that have caused the most frenzy thus far. While some of these looks may appear simple at first glance, their impact on the way people view what’s stylish or on-trend is bigger than you’d think. On Kylie Jenner: Alaïa dress; Loewe heels; The Row bag; Tom Wood earrings. Although a usual lover of neon color and bold logos, Kylie Jenner has entered the minimalist group chat. Alaïa has always been a monumental designer (cue the iconic Clueless scene), but it seems like lately the brand is catching people’s eye more than usual. I’m taking a guess that Jenner may be spotted in those sold-out Alaïa flats sometime soon.

Elsa PerettiSevillana Pendant ($450); Adidas Originals Samba OG Sneakers ($100). Jennifer Lawrence’s style is both comfortable and polished, and we can’t get enough of it. While she prefers luxe pieces from The Row, she also likes to balance them with lowkey items like Adidas Samabs or in this case, a Polo Ralph Lauren baseball cap. She must be taking style notes from the Olsens.

When we first reported on this look from Laura Harrier, it sent our audience into a tizzy. I get it—she always looks chic, but this outfit is also very re-creatable. Harrier proves that a simple dress can easily be the focal point of your outfit just as much as a statement piece. She also makes a strong case for The Row Ginza flip flops (a fashion girl favorite) and Saint Laurent’s le 5 à 7 small leather shoulder bag, a slouchier contender to the more popular structured version.

You don’t think I could include only one Hailey Bieber, would you? All-white looks are classy, but they look even better with black accessories. Bieber took Bottega Veneta’s Andiamo bag for a spin, further solidifying its status as an it-bag of the year.
On Ariana Grande: Ralph Lauren jacket, sweater, and skirt; The Row Small N/S Park Leather Tote ($1390); Loewe Toy Pumps ($990); Tiffany & Co. TF3091 Sunglasses ($492); Mejuri Bold Pearl Trio Hoop Earrings ($98). Wimbledon provided us with tons of style inspiration, but it’s Ariana Grande’s grey Ralph Lauren look that peaked our attention the most. It’s hard not to notice the biggest standout piece in her look—the whimsical Loewe Toy Pumps. They add a whimsical touch to the otherwise polished outfit and also compliment the grey tones perfectly. Game, set, match.
On Margot Robbie: SteamLine Luggage The Entrepreneur 20-Inch Rolling Carry-On ($550) and The Entrepreneur Small Hatbox ($295); vintage Chanel blazer; Chanel belt and shoes. This Barbie is always well-dressed, even at the airport. The internet has been exhaustively reporting on Margot Robbie’s press tour outfits, but even after the film’s release, the obsession over both Robbie and Barbie keeps growing. The film was filled with tons of Chanel, also seen here with a vintage blazer and classic slingbacks.

Everyone’s always itching to mimic Hailey Bieber’s style, so much so that this Loewe striped polo sold out quickly after she wore it. (Luckily, there are plenty of retro-inspired polos on the market.) She finished the look off with everyone’s favorite new Miu Miu bag, which is turning out to be one of the it-items of 2023.
