The Filipino manufacturing sector witnessed a solid upturn in manufacturing conditions in January this year, with the PMI of the sector registering a nine-month high of 52.9 in the month, rising from 50.2 in December, according to S&P Global.
New orders rose further, with the pace of increase accelerating to indicate a strong uptick.
However, confidence for the year-ahead outlook deteriorated notably.
