Germany-headquartered BASF has completed the sale of its optical brightening agents business in the care chemicals sector to Catexel, part of ICIG.
The transaction covers international operations, including production at the Monthey site, with around 80 employees transferring.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
BASF will continue supplying ingredients for home and personal care markets.
