The consumer price index (CPI)-based inflation rate in Germany was 2.2 per cent in August, official statistics show.
Consumer prices were up by 0.1 per cent month on month (MoM) in August.
The prices of energy products were 2.4 per cent lower YoY in the month.
The inflation rate excluding food and energy (core inflation) was 2.7 per cent in the month, just as it was in the two previous months.
