Hexion has sold its US Gulf Coast formalin business to Ancala, which will run the Baytown, Luling and Geismar sites through a new company, Valentra.
The deal ensures customer continuity while enabling Hexion to concentrate on advanced cellulose-based performance materials.
The move marks a major step in its shift toward bio-based chemistry, precision manufacturing and AI-enabled sustainable solutions.
