I’m sure you’ve noticed by now that we’re big Hailey Bieber fans. I’ll admit that I don’t exactly spend hours combing through her TikTok page, but I am always interested in what buzzy skincare products and devices she’s using. After all, the woman has some seriously amazing skin—it would be a major missed opportunity not to pay attention to what she’s doing on that front. One day, when I did happen to be perusing TikTok, I discovered that she uses an innovative tool from Medicube called the Age-R Booster-H ($203). My interest was definitely piqued.

The Age-R Booster-H is a high-tech K-beauty device that, well, costs a pretty penny, but may actually just be worth it for the results. In true “I’ll have whatever she’s having” fashion, I got my hands on one to see exactly what it does, how it can amplify your existing skincare routine, and if it’s actually worth buying. For all the details, keep scrolling!

Upon first glance, it’s not super easy to figure out exactly what this device does, so I did a little more digging. The Age-R Booster is an electroporation device. Electroporation uses electrical pulses or an electrical field to create a temporary physical opening in your skin cell membranes. This allows your skincare to penetrate more deeply and according to the brand, helps it absorb up to 490% more than it would without you using the device. I was definitely excited to give this a go because better skincare penetration means faster results are delivered. Take a peak below at my results.

The above photo is a good baseline to show you what my skin looked like a little over a month ago. It was pretty dehydrated, my moisture-barrier wasn’t in great shape, and I had some acne and dark spots here and there. I’ve been using the Age-R Booster-H for a month now and have seen major improvements in all of the above. I think the most noticeable difference is in my moisture-barrier function. It has healed up quite a bit since I started using this device.

I know that it isn’t always easy to tell in pictures, but there has been a massive improvement in barrier function around my nose area where it was the most impaired. I also like to use a vitamin C serum and I feel like this device amplified the glow vitamin C provides almost instantly. I’m genuinely excited to see how my skin looks in another month or two after consistent use. I use this once in the morning for five minutes and once in the evening for five minutes. It’s not overly complicated or time consuming and it can fit seamlessly into the routine you already have.

If you struggle with things like dryness, acne, or even fine lines and are using the right skincare for you, I actually think this device can be a game changer and extremely helpful if you’re wanting to speed up and amplify your results. It actually does what it says which I really appreciate. I do recognize that this device isn’t within everyone’s budget, but if you do have a bit of extra money to spare, I’d definitely say this is worth investing in, especially if you feel like your skincare could use a boost.

I use this as a toner twice a day and it’s so soothing on my sensitive skin. It has olive leaf water and sodium hyaluronate to help your skin attract and retain more moisture.

This vitamin C serum is the absolute best for anyone looking to address acne, skin inflammation, and fine lines simultaneously. It’s so gentle and contains just a hair of retinol to help improve cell turnover, but I especially love how fast it works with the Age-R Booster-H. I saw improvements in my acne within days when I paired it with the device.

I also use an acne-fighting probiotic serum from Phyla and any new breakouts have been healing much quicker since I added the device into my routine.

Furtuna’s Face & Eye Serum contains ingredients that help boost the effectiveness of your vitamin C serum. It also instantly tightens and firms the skin. My skin always feels great after I use this with my Age-R.

Le Prunier’s Plum Beauty Oil is great for hydration, dark spots, and it’s high in vitamin A so it helps improve cell turnover. This, paired with the Age-R Booster, has made a massive difference in hydration levels for me and has helped fade some dark spots.

This Phyla moisturizer is noncomedogenic but is super hydrating and barrier-repairing. It contains jojoba oil, glycerin, and squalane to help your skin retain moisture and build up a stronger barrier against environmental aggressors.

It’s especially great to use a spot treatment with the Age-R Booster because it helps bring down any angry zits much quicker than without it. I like using this one from Bubble because it’s affordable, doesn’t dry out my skin, and contains no silicones.

I never stop talking about how good this face oil is. I like to alternate between this formula and Le Prunier’s. This one is another product that has really helped my skin repair itself and retain more hydration. Olive oil, jojoba oil, and squalane in it really help repair a damaged barrier.
