It would not be an exaggeration to say that I live in my jeans. Whether I’m going out at night or just meeting up with my boyfriend for dinner, you can bet money on the fact that I’ll show up in denim. But with the summer weather still going strong, I think it’s time for me to branch out into skirts. So I set out to find the 10 best skirt brands on the internet, and this is what I came up with.

Because I literally own zero skirts, I started with the basics. This list is full of classic mid-length slips, micro-hemline options that come in neutral colors, and a few very on-trend tennis-style skirts that are going viral on TikTok. And because I don’t have a ton of money to spend on new clothes right now, most of these brands are pretty affordable to boot.

I included pieces from faithful brands like Zara and Mango as well as a few slightly pricer options from Reformation and Madewell. I think that I have truly built out the ideal skirt wardrobe.Keep on scrolling to check out all 10 of my favorite brands. I think I just became a skirt person.

Okay, I may be biased here, but you already go to Target for everything, so why not check out Who What Wear’s skirt offerings while you’re there? Delicate details like bows and ruffles make them feel fresh for summer.

ASOS has a massive selection of skirts on its site, so I don’t think you’ll have a hard time finding one that you’re absolutely obsessed with. Floral-printed picks? Check. Denim miniskirts? Yup, ASOS has those, too. Oh, I couldn’t possibly forget about wrap-style skirts that could double as sarongs!

While Madewell is primarily known for its denim, do not overlook its skirt section this year. If you’re trying to look “Dakota Johnson at the farmers market” cool, you need to pick up one of the brand’s button-front cotton midi options right now.

I have had to do a double-take almost every time I walk into H&M recently. That’s how cute the options are! From TikTok-famous pleated miniskirts to simple black minis, the brand has gotten it right in the skirt department.

& Other stories is peak French-girl fashion made easy. Its line of understated pieces is always trend adjacent without feeling too on the nose. This season, I’m shopping for muted plissé midi skirts, white knit minis that I can match to my favorite sweater, and vibrant printed options that I can wear to the office with ease.

Zara is truly one of those brands where I know I’ll find something I love as soon as I walk into the store, especially when it comes to its selection of skirts. The brand is always fully stocked with the season’s most in-demand prints and colorways, from a mustard-yellow midi skirt to a vibrant royal-blue mini that deserves to be packed away on your next vacation.

I think I’ll be a Mango shopper forever. It was one of the first places I started shopping when I got into fashion because its pieces were all so affordable while still feeling expensive. Right now, the tie-waist midi skirts and quilted mint-green miniskirts look like they belong on the set of Gossip Girl.

If you are looking to invest in a skirt this season, consider shopping at Vince. Easy-to-style midi skirts are the name of the game, so opt for ones that come in shades of tan, gray, and pale green.

Fashion-set favorite Reformation makes some of the most coveted skirts on the market. Its skirt selection is comprised of timeless silhouettes that work season after season. I can’t wait to style the best-selling Margot Skirt with sheer tights and knee-high boots.

If you’re looking for this season’s trendiest prints and colors, head to Urban Outfitters. From cutout midi picks to micro-mini tennis skirts, UO is fully stocked with options that will make you look like a tried-and-true member of Gen Z.
