ICE cotton futures fell slightly on April 10 due to a lower US export forecast, falling crude oil prices and weak global sentiment.
USDA’s April WASDE report cut US 2024–25 export estimates to 10.9 million bales and raised ending stocks.
Weekly export sales dropped 11 per cent.
Cheaper polyester and a weak US dollar added pressure, while Brazil’s cotton output is projected to rise by 5.1 per cent.
