Because The Row is such a minimalist brand, you’d think successfully achieving the “The Row look” would be quite simple. Throw on an oversize button-down shirt with a turtleneck underneath, and pair the duo with belted slouchy, pleated trousers. Done. But there’s a reason why people—including Jennifer Lawrence, Zoë Kravitz, and Kendall Jenner—will spend thousands on a single item from the brand. Every single piece that The Row debuts, no matter how understated it is, has a subtle twist that makes it stand out as significantly more elegant than all of the other seemingly similar basics that are out there.

Don’t worry. I’m not going to try to convince you to buy up a ton of The Row pieces. (Though, if you want to, I’ll support it and be jealous.) What I will do, though, is share mine and every quiet luxury–loving fashion editor’s secret to mastering the brand’s aesthetic for a whole lot less than four digits. Well, it’s really three secrets, and their names are Zara, COS, and Massimo Dutti. From handbags to tailored suiting to basics that’ll become the backbone of your wardrobe for the rest of time, these retailers have The Row’s look down pat. To prove it, I looked through every item on all three websites and found the 37 pieces that fit the brand’s vibe the most. Scroll down to dive in.

I own way too many white button-down shirts. These days, I’m daring to wear some color and buying only pastel shades like baby blue and pink.

From the long shorts to the flip-flops to the XXL tote bag, this Massimo Dutti look is so The Row it hurts.

There’s just something so expensive feeling about wearing a really tailored cape.

Baggy yet elevated denim silhouettes are The Row’s bread and butter.

I could’ve sworn these were $600 instead of $60 when I first saw them.

Consider me screaming quite loudly over this shockingly elegant ensemble.

You can bet I already ordered this set for NYFW. Shop the matching Semi-Sheer Straight Knit Skirt ($46).

If these aren’t The Row, then I don’t know what is.

A great cashmere sweater is essential. In fact, you should start building a collection of them, starting with this luxe V-neck from Zara.

People underestimate the styling power a really nice belt has.

Most often when I ask people which The Row items they own, they start off with trousers.

The ’90s kid in me is swooning.

Remember this Jennifer Lawrence The Row outfit? Re-create it with this Zara set.  Shop the matching Full-Length Poplin Pants ($36).

Slingback flats are the new ballet flats, according to Hailey Bieber.

I’ve been waiting patiently for this blazer to arrive on COS.com after I saw this look on the pants’ product page. It’s so chic. Shop the matching Wide-Leg Tailored Wool Pants ($150).

If there’s one thing The Row does better than anyone else, it’s really stellar knitwear. This cashmere sweater will get you the same luxe feeling and cool, relaxed look for about a thousand dollars less.

Can you believe that this gorgeous olive-green purse is under $200? I actually can’t.

I haven’t been able to stop thinking about these lightweight barrel-leg trousers ever since I first saw them. They’d just be so perfect for long flights.

A classic shoe style for the quiet-luxury brand.

A turtleneck like this one is absolutely crucial if you want to layer like a The Row model.

This column skirt is so much better IRL. Trust me—I went to the store to try it on.

This is exactly what I’m talking about when I say that simple pieces can be tweaked slightly to make them significantly more stylish. This might be a white T-shirt, but the waisted detail and big shoulders allow it to become a statement item as well.

Just think about the styling opportunities.

Just easy.

The Olsen twins are forever flip-flop fans.

There’s no time of the year that I love more than transitional-jacket season.

Now to book a super-luxurious vacation and wear this set with chunky gold jewelry and big sunglasses. Shop the matching Wide-Leg Pants ($119).

The Row was one of the first brands to initiate the big-bag trend.

I bought a vintage The Row silk button-down shirt just like this one at Wasteland in Los Angeles a few years back.

A subtly sexier take on the long-sleeve tee.

I popped into Zara in SoHo last weekend to try these on, and trust me—they’re even better in person.

One of the year’s most talked-about accessories is the chunky, rigid collar.

A tapered longline vest? Say less.

The prettiest tank I’ve seen in years.

A quiet-luxury handbag at its finest.

The fit, the color, the way it just drapes so effortlessly—this sweater is perfect to a T.

Halters are having a moment right now, but this one, in particular, has me in a choke hold. Shop the matching Wide-Leg Pants With Darts ($60).
