The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) has unveiled the ‘Bharat Cancer Genome Atlas’ (BCGA), an extensive database of genetic variants from Indian breast cancer samples. This initiative aims to bridge the gap in genomic landscape, aiding early diagnosis, personalized treatment, and better understanding of cancer progression specific to the Indian population.
