Ready for some fresh Nordstrom buys? The new year is almost here, and we’re already off to a strong start at the retailer, and the new arrivals section is popping off right now. How do I know this? Over the past few weeks, I’ve done a ton of trend research for the year ahead, poring over the winter collections and scanning my social media feeds to find out what people are talking about. I usually peruse Nordstrom’s site when I need to update my basics, but the buys I found on my recent search are the more special and elevated picks that I was happily surprised to see. Consider this your ultimate Who What Wear-approved edit and I’ll be your shopping connoisseur.

Based on my findings, I’ve come to the conclusion that the 36 Nordstrom items you’re about to see below—from the designer shoulder bag that will be the blueprint for every other trendy bag to the color that magically elevates anything and the fresh wardrobe basics that everyone will wear—qualify as some of the buzziest finds of the moment and will be important through the end of the year and into the next. I’m particularly excited about each of these items, and I know you will be too.

My fellow editors are always sending their favorite shopping picks in our Slack channel, and these luxe-looking loafers were a highlight for me.

If you pair this skirt with the sweater above, you’ll look just like you walked off a Sandy Liang runway.

More artistic cuffs in 2024.

Nope, column skirts aren’t going anywhere.

The texture makes this very designer-looking.

Workwear was a prominent theme on the runways, and now, I’m craving classics like a pair of wool trousers.

Vintage-inspired leather jackets are high on my winter wishlist this year.

Easy and elevated.

Jenny Bird is a brand I (and other editors) always look to for new jewelry because the brand always tends to be ahead of the curve.

I haven’t stopped thinking about pierced slingbacks since I saw them on Tory Burch’s runway.

Barrel-leg jeans were a big trend for denim this year, and will most likely continue to be into 2024.

Skip the ultra-high heels, 2024 is going to continue to be about chic and comfortable flats.

I simply can’t stop staring.

Paloma Wool pieces on Nordstrom are always quick to sold out.

A leather skirt like this might have you hitting pause on your jeans.

I’ll never get tired of a double-denim outfit, but I’m thinking of refreshing my usual duo with a lighter denim shirt like this.

Cozy and just incredibly cool.

You know it’s a hot-ticket item when you can barely find your size in stock.

Angelic.

My dream winter wardrobe involves coats like this one.

I’m all for classic handbags, but I’m all for this fun little Coach bag.
