Most Wanted is a weekly series in which one editor, staffer, or influencer shares their top 30 must-haves or current wish-list items .
There are many things I cherish about living in Manhattan in my 20s, but few compare to New York Fashion Week. Between the buzz that fills the air, the sidewalks that turn into runways, and the excitement over scoping out upcoming trends, there’s really nothing like it. I’m never not in the mood to shop, but during NYFW, the urge persists more than usual. The roster of items I’d like to purchase is directly inspired by what I’ve seen on the streets of New York and the runways: Loads of denim, bomber jackets , and metallic accessories are first to come to mind. But I’m also seeing some killer makeup looks, so naturally, I’ve got to share my list of beauty favorites as well. If you’re in the market for some of NYFW’s buzziest items, keep reading to take a peek at my current wish list.
This is the number-one jacket style I saw all over Copenhagen Fashion Week, with New York following suit.
Is it just me, or are off-the-shoulder styles having a moment? Add a rosette choker, and you’ve got the It look for spring.
The $50 shoulder bag rivaling designer contenders.
A fresh take on the staple slip dress.
Pastels for spring, but done in a way that’s not the least bit cliché.
I have yet to succumb to the Boston clog trend, but after seeing them incorporated into Fashion Week looks, I think it’s time to buy in.
This sage color feels like the most elevated green hue for 2023.
I love my light-wash denim, but dark washes are proving to be the top dog this season.
I’m currently in a bidding war over these. Any and all best wishes are appreciated.
This Ganni piece supports two editor-backed trends: head-to-toe denim ensembles and pinched-waist blazers.
Menswear-style tailoring is still popping off. You can’t beat these $65 trousers.
If I could recommend one shoe trend to buy into, it would be this one.
French girl–approved rectanglular sunnies are here to stay.
I have simple style, so when I want to participate in a trend, I typically go for accessories. I’m passing on metallic pants and purchasing this fun shoulder bag instead.
Speaking of head-to-toe denim…
A day-to-night skirt if I’ve ever seen one.
Simple doesn’t have to be boring, and this top is proof.
We’re seeing no shortage of sparkles and sequins on the runways.
Fashion maximalists cosign this inclusion.
Dress this set up with a statement coat and pointed-toe heel, or dress it down with a denim jacket and pair of sneakers. You really can’t go wrong.
The runways are telling me to purchase this jacket for next fall. I suggest you do the same.
In my dreams, I own the Miu Miu moto boots, but this $100 version is more my speed.
Another elevated basic to upgrade the wardrobe essentials.
I call this slip skirt an “approachable metallic.”
Two trends for the price of one.
We’re in the thick of winter here in NYC, and this luxurious hand cream is saving my dry hands in a major way. I can’t leave my apartment without it.
Three words for this fragrance: main character energy. It’s infused with ruby orchid accord, juicy peach, and bourbon vanilla. Sweet yet sensual and bold but not overwhelming, this fragrance will boost your confidence and earn you endless compliments with just one spritz.
If I’m going to choose one makeup product to carry with me, it’s a nude liner. One quick lip refresh, and I look like I haven’t been running around the city all day. It makes me feel way more put-together than I am.
To top it off is my new favorite lip product: this juicy tinted balm. It has the perfect amount of shine and pigment to apply blindly in a taxi. You won’t need to worry about smudging or transfer.
I’m not an oily gal, but I do recommend keeping a powder puff for blending out any creases that may settle throughout the day.
