If you’re not on fashion TikTok yet, consider this your sign to start scrolling. The style side of the app has quickly become my go-to resource for outfit ideas and I’ve racked up the screenshots to show for it. I could go on and on about some of the best style moments on TikTok right now (and I have) but today I need to bring your attention to one creator, in particular, whose outfit videos I can’t stop watching.

Laura Hoden, otherwise known as her handle @imlauranotlauren on the app, has gone viral for her series “Celeb style on a size 10” where she recreates memorable celebrity street style moments with pieces in her own closet. The concept of DIY-ing a celeb outfit is hardly novel, but I was immediately impressed with the level of accuracy that Hoden’s outfits achieve—she nails the overall silhouette, from the color scheme to how each piece fits—and while an exact recreation of any A-list ‘fit can easily put my bank account into overdraft, Hoden manages to do so with affordable favorites like H&M and Zara.

“I wanted to prove a point that size has nothing to do with having style,” she explained when I asked her about what inspired this series in the first place. “You don’t need the celebrity body (or budget!) to recreate these looks.” As a firm believer that style should be accessible to everyone, I couldn’t agree more. She continued, “I have seen a lot of discourse on social media of women feeling like they couldn’t dress a certain way because they weren’t a smaller size—and that hurts to see. I have lived my entire adult life between a size 10 to a size 16 and have never let my body stop me from having confidence in what I wear.”

Celebrity street style outfits are, of course, notoriously tricky (see pelvic cutoutsultra low-rise hems, and see-through fabrics) but Hoden has an eye for the ones that she can recreate with the pieces that are already sitting in her own closet, rather than outfits that rely on shopping hyper-specific trends. Outfits from the likes of Hailey Bieber, Elsa Hosk, and Emily Ratajkowski feature regularly on her channel as they tend to fit her casual, minimal, and menswear-inspired style the most.

Ahead, see the original celebrity inspiration along with Hoden’s DIY version and, of course, shop the pieces you’d need to recreate each look for yourself.

On Hoden: Zara pants; Gap shirt; Nike T-shirt. “I learned that the correct proportions really are key with this look. A more dramatically oversized white button-down like Kendall Jenner’s would’ve knocked this one out of the park for me.”

On Hoden: Vintage Armani blazer; Levi’s, jeans; Zara boots. “I had nearly identical items for this whole look, but when I left for the day I made a personal tweak by swapping the refined turtleneck for a relaxed graphic tee, less equestrian, more casual Princess Di.”

On Hoden: H&M ribbed pants, bra, and blazer; Zara heels. “Hailey Bieber is my top source for inspiration since we both seem to prioritize comfort in our day-to-day looks. But that addition of a blazer and heels suddenly makes a lounge set look very polished.”

On Elsa Hosk: Khaite sweater

On Hoden: Calvin Klein bralette and boxer; Agolde jeans; Zara cardigan; New Balance 550 sneakers. “I think I can confidently say I will not be walking out of my apartment with boxers showing any time soon. I commend anyone who can pull this styling off though! Other than that, you can never go wrong with an oversized sweater and relaxed denim in my opinion.”

On Ratajkowski: The Row blazer; Inamorata bralette; Khaite pants; Giuseppe Zanotti blazer; Hayward bag; Poppy Lissiman sunglasses

On Hoden: H&M blazer; Zara bra; BY FAR bag; Zara heels. “Personally I think this might be my least favorite, really not my style at all looking back on it. If I switched out for a sneaker I’d personally like it more. I also think Emily’s works so much better with the proportions of the below-the-knee crops.”

On Hoden: H&M Blazer; Agolde jeans; Ugg Tazz Mules. “This one is a 10/10 for me. All my favorite staples are featured—an oversized blazer, ribbed tank, and relaxed denim. Plus, the resurgence of UGGs styled with elevated pieces (thank you Elsa for the inspo), rather than leggings and a hoodie like back in my high school days is the cherry on top.”

On Bieber: Nina Ricci blazer; Are You Am I corset; Maison Margiela pants; BY FAR bag; Tabitha Simmons heels

On Hoden: H&M blazer; Skims bodysuit; Agolde jeans. “I was missing the patterned blazer and slightly more contrasting tones here to make it a more exciting look. Overall the silhouette was a match, but the tones fell a little flat for me.”
