The Indian Cabinet has approved a brownfield ammonia-urea complex at BVFCL, Namrup, Assam, with an annual 12.7 LMT urea capacity and a ~$1.23 billion investment under a JV with a 70:30 Debt-Equity ratio.
Assam will hold 40 per cent equity, BVFCL 11 per cent, HURL 13 per cent, and NFL & OIL 18 per cent each.
The project will boost urea production, create jobs, and enhance energy efficiency.
