India has formally banned the import and transit of all goods from Pakistan, including those routed through third countries.
The move, announced via Notification No. 06/2025-26 by the DGFT, inserts Para 2.20A into the Foreign Trade Policy 2023.
Effective immediately, the prohibition cites national security and public policy concerns.
Exceptions require prior government approval.
