India has extended the minimum import price (MIP) on synthetic knitted fabrics until December 31, 2025.
Initially applied to five HS codes, the policy now includes eight additional codes.
The MIP of $3.5 per kg aims to protect domestic industries from cheaper imports, although SEZ, EOU, and Advance Authorisation holders are exempt if they do not sell into the domestic market.
