Indian government will reopen applications for the production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme for textiles, focusing on MMF apparel, fabrics, and technical textiles, amid US-imposed 50 per cent tariffs on Indian imports.
Cotton garments remain excluded.
Applications are open until August 31.
The scheme has seen limited uptake, with 64 companies committing ₹6,000 crore (~$685 million).
