India’s container handling capacity is projected to reach 40 million TEUs in five years, ports, shipping and waterways minister Sarbananda Sonowal recently said.
The Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority alone will scale up its handling capacity from 6.6 million TEUs now to 10 million TEUs.
