India’s ports ministry directed the Indian Ports Association to implement the wage revision and productivity-linked reward scheme agreed with port worker unions on September 27, averting an indefinite strike planned from December 17.
The agreement, addressing wages, conditions, and modernisation policies, was signed in Mumbai.
This has come as a sigh of relief for Indian traders.
