The Cotton Corporation of India (CCI) has been tasked with identifying one district in each state for conducting cotton productivity trials, according to textile minister Giriraj Singh, who said that the government plans to expand the size of the textile market to $350 billion by 2030 from $176 billion now.
The plan is to raise the number of textile jobs to 60 million from 45 million now, he said.
