India’s CPI inflation rate 0.25% in Oct: Provisional official data

India’s consumer price index (CPI)-based inflation rate was 0.25 per cent in October this year, according to provisional official estimates.
There is a drop of 119 basis points in the October headline inflation compared to September.
It is the lowest YoY inflation of the current CPI series.
Headline inflation in rural areas was minus 0.25 per cent in October, and in urban areas, it was 0.88 per cent.
