India’s YoY inflation rate based on the consumer price index for December 2025 was 1.33 per cent, according to provisional data from the Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation.
The headline inflation in December 2025 rose by 62 basis points over the November figure.
The headline inflation in rural areas and urban areas were 0.76 per cent and 2.03 per cent respectively in December 2025.
