India’s Uttar Pradesh state cabinet recently cleared two policies—the Uttar Pradesh Footwear, Leather and Non-Leather Area Development Policy 2025 and the UP MSME Audyogik Aasthan Prabandhan (allotment) Policy.
The first is aimed at boosting the state’s share in the export of leather and non-leather products and attracting investment.
The second will allot land to MSMEs at low rates.
