Indonesia has proposed boosting imports from the US by up to $34 billion as part of talks under way to secure relief from reciprocal tariffs.
The proposal includes significant purchases of energy and agricultural commodities, as well as investment plans involving Indonesia’s sovereign wealth fund Danantara.
The aim is to address US trade deficit with Indonesia, which stands at around $19 billion.
