Bangladesh’s overall inflation eased in August, but still remained in double digits for the second month in a row.
The Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics recorded August’s inflation at 10.49 per cent—down from 11.66 per cent in July.
The figure was higher than the month’s wage rate growth of 7.96 per cent. Inflation was higher in rural areas than urban areas.
