Bangladesh’s general point-to-point inflation rate reached 9.42 per cent in May, slightly higher than the 9.05 per cent recorded in May 2025, official statistics show.
It was 9.04 per cent in April this year.
Inflation in rural areas increased to 9.48 per cent in May, compared with 9.05 per cent in April.
In urban areas, point-to-point inflation rose to 9.25 per cent in May from 9.02 per cent in April.
