Following steady improvements in UK business conditions in H1 2024, key indicators stalled or declined in Q3, a British Chambers of Commerce survey found.
Overall, 35 per cent of respondents reported a rise in domestic sales in the last three months, while 21 per cent reported a drop.
Confidence that turnover will grow in the next 12 months has also dropped to 56 per cent from 58 per cent in Q2.
