While wedding ceremony dresses are made to look beautiful in photographs and capture the attention of the audience, reception dresses are where the fun’s at. The dress that a bride changes into for dinner and dancing is often a more fun, laidback, and easy-to-wear version of the main gown but it’s no less of a fashion moment.
Issa Rae had the right idea at her wedding this weekend, where she changed into a stunning Vera Wang dress that the brand describes as “a custom lily-white Italian silk crepe plunging V-neck A-line gown with a layered tulle skirt accented by a dramatic front slit.” For her main ceremony, Rae chose a different dress by Vera Wang that featured a strapless neckline and a subtle cutout in the back.
