Italy’s consumer price index rose by 0.1 per cent month on month (MoM) and by 1.9 per cent YoY in April.
Core inflation (excluding energy and unprocessed food) was 2.1 per cent in the month, and inflation excluding energy was 2.2 per cent.
The harmonised index of consumer prices rose by 0.4 per cent MoM, mainly due to the end of the winter sales of clothing and footwear, and by 2 per cent YoY.
