Is anyone in need of some shopping inspiration? Well, nobody asked, but I’m certainly delivering anyway. With a dizzying number of new pieces hitting the market, it can be downright intimidating to peruse what’s out there in the hopes of making a little wardrobe update. But that’s where I come in, friends. On a typical day, I do some online browsing to highlight the very best shopping picks of the moment, so today, I’m taking it a step further by showing you what we’re personally adding to our closets and including some inspirational outfit photos.

There’s no doubt our editors are a stylish bunch. (I look to their Instagrams for my own style ideas.) So when I tell you these new tops, dresses, shoes, and bags are it, I think you’ll agree. Keep scrolling for the new fashion favorites we added to our closets in August—from the cool barrel-leg jeans all our editors are freaking over to Anneliese’s pretty Reformation skirt and Sierra’s chic new bag. These are the season’s top-notch picks, according to us.

I managed to score this Khaite top when it was on sale for a fraction of its retail price last month, and not to brag, but I’m pretty proud of it. I’d been eyeing it for a while but could never justify the purchase based on its luxury price tag, so when I saw it go on sale and noticed that my size just so happened to be the last one in stock, I knew it was fated. I’ve worn it countless times since it arrived on my doorstep—no doubt a good sign of many more wears to come.

I wore these pretty flats for the first time last week on a particularly busy day filled with press previews, meetings, and happy hours. I walked to and from each and returned home without even the hint of blister, which almost never happens the first time in a new pair of shoes. It speaks to the quality and craftsmanship that Milan-based label Eledera takes great care to imbue each of its shoes with.

“I went back and forth on investment bags for months before settling on this Bottega Veneta bag. What sold me? The fact that it can be converted from a top-handle bag to a shoulder bag. Talk about versatile. Plus, it goes with everything I own and can fit way more than you’d think.”

“If you hadn’t heard, full skirts are the moment, and this Reformation one should be on your radar. I’ll be wearing it from now until fall.”

“I know this may be hard to believe, but these are actually my first pair of ballet flats. As someone on the shorter side, I normally lean toward shoes with a heel, but since everyone seems to be loving them, I decided to give them a try. I’m officially converted. I have a feeling I’ll be wearing these all fall long.”

“I’m not exaggerating when I say I have been living in these pants. The versatility is truly unmatched. I’ve worn them to the beach, to the office, and to stroll around the city. I now own them in two colors, and I fear the other colors are already in my cart.”

“I’ve been a proud outfit repeater this summer thanks to this striped button-down top. It washes well, is perfectly oversize, and fits into the neutral category of my wardrobe.”

“If you have a larger chest, this bikini brand is perfect. The tops are offered in bra sizes as opposed to standard sizing to make sure that they fit properly. And don’t get me started on this adorable fruit print. I got endless compliments when I posted it on Instagram.”

“There’s just something about the color red right now. I had so much fun styling this red dress with black accessories and will definitely be wearing it again. It’s simple but so elevated.”

“I recently packed this bag for a super-quick weekend trip and became obsessed with it immediately. It’s small and light and fits more than you might think. I have a feeling it will appear on my Instagram a lot more this fall.”

“I’ve been wearing these flats with everything from dresses to a basic jeans-and-tee combo. They are versatile, comfortable, and under $200, which we love.”

“These jeans took our office by storm, and now, I can’t take them off. They are so comfortable and cool and go with so many things in my wardrobe.”

“I’ve been on the hunt for a vest that would transition well from summer to fall, and this is the one. I love my linen options, but this warmer cotton fabric is a better match for those cooler months ahead.”

“Ever since stumbling across this lightweight swing skirt for late-summer days and humid summer evenings, I’ve been a changed woman. No more are the days of sweating profusely through my slip dresses and leggings. Ever since buying this breezy maxi skirt from Free People, I haven’t been able to stop wearing it.”

“You know you’re wearing a good outfit when your phone blows up after posting a ‘fit pic. No, really. After posting this Djerf Avenue top-and-skirt set that just arrived on my doorstep, I got so many texts asking for the link to buy it. While I’ll buy anything Matilda Djerf makes, the Swede has a natural talent for making simple designs look and feel that much better.”

“I’m a ballet-flats snob—mostly because I can’t stand to walk in heels for more than two hours. At this point, I’ve tried and tested almost every pair on the market. After finding these low-cost, high-joy pink satin ballerinas from ASOS, though, I feel so much better about going through a pair every month. The retailer’s affordable price point means I don’t have to baby them as much as my other pairs, and I’m finding myself wearing them more and more ever since buying them at the beginning of the month. The adorable pink satin doesn’t hurt either.”

“I live for the Sporty & Rich aesthetic. If you don’t have anything from the brand, may I suggest this set? It’s everything—the icy baby blue is so dreamy, and the ribbed material is super high-quality. I wear this literally everywhere: to work, run errands, and take walks. Wherever you wear it, just be prepared for lots of compliments.”

“Workout dresses are my go-to uniform. I wore this one for an active day out in L.A. and got so many compliments on it. It’s a one-and-done situation—it has a supportive top, built-in shorts, and an adorable pleated skirt. It does run on the shorter side, so if you’re not into that, you might want to opt for another style. (But I think it’s so cute and fits my taste perfectly.) I also love the striking cobalt blue and think it would look absolutely stunning on everyone.”

“This is the type of dress that will make you look and feel like royalty. I’ve been wearing it all summer long. I love the visual contrast of the fitted tube top and the flowy, romantic midi skirt. You can dress it up with heels or dress it down with your favorite pair of white sneakers.”
