It can be hard to find the perfect pair of denim shorts when the options range from super-short ripped cutoffs to long Bermuda versions. Plus, when you add in trendy elements like crossover waistbands, it can be all the more confounding. In cases like this, sometimes all it takes is an excellent celebrity outfit to tip the scale in favor of one style over another. Julianne Hough‘s most recent look, for example, definitely convinced me of my next purchase.
Photographed in New York City, Hough wore Agolde Crisscross Super High Waist Organic Cotton Denim Shorts ($178) that are available on Nordstrom’s website—but I have a feeling they won’t be for long, given Agolde’s track record for designing coverable pieces. Hough styled the shorts with a Gia Studios blouse and a smattering of designer accessories, including a Valentino Locò Calfskin Shoulder Bag ($2600), Celine sunglasses, and Tod’s 1T Sneakers ($795).
