It’s Met Gala night in New York City, and there is certainly no shortage of epic looks from the evening. Tonight’s soirée is all about Karl Lagerfeld, the designer behind some of fashion’s most iconic ensembles from his time at the helm of Chanel, Balmain, Fendi, Chloé, and more lauded labels. And as one of Lagerfeld’s most used models in the 1990s—he’s said to have called her “the free girl of our times,” according to British Vogue—Kate Moss was, of course, in attendance.

For the event, Moss, who attended alongside her daughter Lila Moss and Fendi Artistic Director of womenswear and couture Kim Jones, went for a silhouette she wore regularly during her ’90s modeling days: a simple slip dress. Specifically, the supermodel wore a lingerie-like nightgown slip from Jones’s spring/summer 2023 couture collection for the Italian fashion house, which was created exclusively for Moss. According to a press release, the dress was crafted out of silk satin and decorated with lace that was meant to represent “a floral motif with a soaring silhouette playing with transparencies for an extreme feminine allure.” With it, she added a silk-georgette dressing gown to “evoke a floating, ethereal sensation in movement.”
