Congratulations are in order for Emily in Paris star, Lily Collins, and her fiancée, Charlie McDowell. The 30-year-old bride to be first starting dating writer-director McDowell, 36 in the summer of 2019, and have been “Instagram official” since August of that year.
Since then, the pair have shared snippets of their relationship with fans via Collins’ Instagram, taking advantage of the time since Emily in Paris wrapped (the show premieres October 2 on Netflix) to go on road trips and explore the great outdoors with their rescue pup, Redford.
This weekend, surrounded by majestic rocks and boulders, McDowell popped the question with a uniquely-shaped diamond. According to Shannon Delany-Ron, director of communications at JamesAllen.com, Lily has a flared yellow gold textured bezel setting with a large cushion-shaped rose-cut center stone. Collins shared a photo of the proposal (and a close-up of the ring) today on her Instagram with the caption, “I’ve been waiting my lifetime for you and I can’t wait to spend our lifetime together…”
Given Collins’ earthy California vibe combined with her ability to pull off high-fashion, dramatic looks, we can’t wait to see how this wedding comes together.
