The owner of UK luxury handbag maker Mulberry recently rejected an increased $144.9-million bid from the Frasers Group, saying it has ‘no interest’ in selling its shares.
Challice, which owns 56 per cent of Mulberry with the power to block any bid, urged the Frasers Group, which owns 37 per cent, to ditch plans to take over, saying it came at an ‘inopportune time’ for the struggling brand.
