Gabriela Anastasio, the founder of Anastasio Home, has built a thriving luxury home accessory brand inspired by something rather simple: stone. Growing up on Long Island with a father in the landscaping business, Anastasio’s connection with stone was more than just admiration. It was a deep-rooted affinity that would eventually spark joy in her life and others around her. Stone, in all its forms, represented something special to her—a symbol of good fortune and impeccable taste. Whether it was a neighbor’s new granite countertop or a beautifully updated stone patio, these elements resonated with Anastasio on a profound level.
In 2021, Anastasio took a leap of faith and turned her passion into a reality. She launched Anastasio Home with a singular focus on stone trays, a category that would soon capture the hearts of many. The brand’s commitment to quality, sustainability, and aesthetics set it apart from the competition. Anastasio Home quickly gained recognition for its stunning and ever-expanding collection of upcycled, limited-run home accessories, revealing Anastasio’s dedication to responsible sourcing and craftsmanship in every product. Impressively, these items are produced in the brand’s factory in India, a venture she embarked upon during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic. This unexpected move allowed Anastasio Home to maintain meticulous control over its production processes while also contributing to the local economy and providing employment opportunities.
Today, Anastasio Home’s products can be found in renowned retailers like Moda Operandi, Lulu and Georgia, and EyeSwoon. Evolving beyond stone, the brand is set to expand into new categories, including metals and lighting, promising an even broader range of exquisite home accessories for discerning customers.
Anastasio’s journey to success was far from straightforward. She initially pursued a degree in art and later spent over a decade in the field of public relations. Her career culminated with her becoming the director of communications at Tudor, a watch brand owned by Rolex. This role ignited her passion for precise manufacturing, a pivotal moment that would shape her future endeavors. Listen to the latest episode of Second Life to hear how Anastasio’s passion, combined with her background in art and extensive time in PR, uniquely positioned her to build Anastasio Home.
