Methanex will acquire OCI Global’s methanol business for $2.05 billion, including two methanol plants in Texas, a low-carbon methanol business, and an idle plant in the Netherlands.
The deal, expected to close in 2025, adds to Methanex’s production and aligns with its strategic goals, enhancing its global methanol production and entry into ammonia production.
