Mozambican cotton exports dropped by 61 per cent less YoY in the first nine months last year to $11.9 million, despite a rise in national production, statistics from the Bank of Mozambique show.
This was due to an 8-per cent reduction in the price of cotton fibre in the international market.
Cotton production in the country grew by 2 per cent YoY to 24,000 tonnes in 2024.
