Forget the Oscars, this weekend’s Academy Museum Gala at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles was Hollywood’s chicest event of the year. For proof, just see Olivia Wilde’s look for the evening, which not only includes a full feathered trim, but also shoulder pads and a completely sheer, crystal exterior.
Despite this year’s gala only being the second ever to take place, it brought out all the biggest names in Hollywood, including Hailey Bieber and Selena Gomez (together), Julia Roberts, Amal and George Clooney, Laura Harrier, and rising star Taylor Russell. But of everyone in attendance, no one took quite as big a risk with their look as Wilde, who chose an Haute Couture look from Alexandre Vauthier’s spring 2022 collection.
Wilde’s black-tie ensemble is but one of many show-stopping looks from her recent press tour for Don’t Worry Darling, however, this last one is no doubt one of her best. See it in all of its crystal-and-feathered glory below.
