SABIC and Lamb Weston have partnered to create sustainable packaging for frozen potato products using 60 per cent bio-renewable polymers from used cooking oil.
The innovative packaging, produced by Oerlemans Plastics, reduces film thickness by 20 per cent and cuts the carbon footprint by 30 per cent.
It complies with EU and FDA food-contact regulations.
