Shell has signed an agreement to acquire RISEC Holdings, which owns a 609 MW combined-cycle gas turbine power plant in Rhode Island.
This acquisition secures long-term energy supply and capacity in the ISO New England market, where Shell has a contract with RISEC since 2019.
The deal is expected to close in Q1 2025 and aligns with Shell’s strategic growth in the energy sector.
