South Africa’s textile imports totalled 65,476 million rand (~$3.55 billion) in 2024, marking a 10 per cent rise from 2023.
Exports increased slightly by 1.8 per cent to 23,578.8 million rand (~$1.28 billion).
However, in December 2024, imports fell by 14.6 per cent MoM, while exports declined by 26.5 per cent.
Despite monthly drop, overall trade in textiles showed an upward trend over the year.
