South Africa’s textile imports rose by 21.1 per cent year-on-year to 11.9 billion rand (~$646 million) in January–February 2025, despite a monthly drop in February.
Exports grew modestly by 2.7 per cent in the same period but surged 47.1 per cent month-on-month in February.
In 2024, annual textile imports and exports rose by 10 per cent and 1.8 per cent, respectively.
