South Korea’s apparel imports eased 1.52 per cent to $7.679 billion in January–August 2025, led by a 2.75 per cent fall in non-knitted apparel, while knitted apparel stayed steady.
August imports slid 7.22 per cent year-on-year as retailers trimmed inventories amid tariff uncertainties and weak demand.
Exports of textiles also fell over 13–15 per cent, reflecting subdued global orders.
