The upcoming Scottish budget should focus on no new levies on retailers and a meaningful business rate reduction, alongside enhanced funding to combat shop thefts, the Scottish Retail Consortium (SRC) has said.
SRC told the Scottish finance secretary the retail industry is facing tough trading conditions, an uncertain economic outlook and spiralling costs and higher shop prices due to the last UK budget.
